A serological survey for M. hyopneumoniae has considered 2676 pigs of different ages coming from Italian intensive farm with an history of respiratory disease. The results showed that mycoplasma is largely diffused and that the infection is particulary frequent in growing period (34,1% of serologically positive pigs), during the period of greater clinical incidence of respiratory disease.
