A case of erythemato-papular rosacea in a 44-year-old woman who was treated 'by error', but successfully, with bifonazole cream is reported. On the basis of this experience, eight patients altogether have been treated with topical bifonazole; in all patients a clinical improvement has been observed. The Authors suggest that bifonazole acts in rosacea principally through its anti-inflammatory action.
