Prurigo nodularis is a chronic dermatosis of uncertain etiology, clinically characterized by itchy nodules occurring on the extensor aspect of the limbs. Here is reported a young Senegalese child with atopic diathesis and asthma, showing superimposed cutaneous lesions compatible with the diagnosis of prurigo nodularis. An intestinal parasitic infestation with Ascaris lumbricoides was also disclosed. Its specific treatment led to a clear improvement of asthma and of the skin lesions.
