Abstract

WE DESIGNED this study to validate a model of acute cerebral death in swine1 by ethyl cysteinate dimer- Bicisate (ECD) scintigraphic imaging and blood/brain kinetics. This approach by nuclear medicine techniques contributes in grading acute cerebral damage before the instauration of anatomic damage, visualized later by morphologic imaging (MRI, CT, contrast angiography).
