Abstract
A 16 year-old girl, with 'disabling pansclerotic morphea', presented recurrent intestinal bleeding. The patient, at the age of eleven, was suffering from severe musculo-skeletal atrophy of the left arm with severe sclerosis, and mild cutaneous sclerosis of the upper thorax and right forearm. Only mesenteric angiography showed telangiectasias of jejunum circulation. After a transfusion the patient was treated with progesterone/oestrogen combination with good result. 'Disabling pansclerotic morphea' is usually associated with mild, non progressive visceral changes.
