In the Archives of the Institut de France - Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres, at Paris, one part of the Victor Loret papers are preserved: two volumes of the Dictionnaire hié- roglyphique, a dossier on Pharaonic flora (IBL K 21) and nineteen notebooks (IBL K 22). Of these, thirteen contain Egyptian lexemes arranged in dictionary form and other three, discovered by Patrizia Piacentini in January 2004, contain notes on the activities of Loret in the Valley of the Kings.
