A comprehensive theory of the interaction of 12C and 16O with nuclei, considering both mean-field and two-body nucleon-nucleon interactions is discussed. The excitation functions of a large number of reactions extending over several hundred MeV incident energies induced in the bombardment of 103Rh with 12C and 16O and residue recoil range distributions are very satisfactorily reproduced.

Abstract

A comprehensive theory of the interaction of 12C and 16O with nuclei, considering both mean-field and two-body nucleon-nucleon interactions is discussed. The excitation functions of a large number of reactions extending over several hundred MeV incident energies induced in the bombardment of 103Rh with 12C and 16O and residue recoil range distributions are very satisfactorily reproduced.
