The relationships among different components of frontal lobe dysfunction and voluntary attention were studied. Drug-free schizophrenic patients and matched normal controls were recruited and assessed for smooth pursuit eye movements, voluntary saccadic eye movements and by means of neurophsychological tests (Toluse-Pieron test and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test). No clear-cut relationship was found between eye movement performance and neuropsychological impairment.

Abstract
The relationships among different components of frontal lobe dysfunction and voluntary attention were studied. Drug-free schizophrenic patients and matched normal controls were recruited and assessed for smooth pursuit eye movements, voluntary saccadic eye movements and by means of neurophsychological tests (Toluse-Pieron test and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test). No clear-cut relationship was found between eye movement performance and neuropsychological impairment.Pubblicazioni consigliate
