A series of samples of general formula (CeO2)(1-y)(La2CuO4)(y), with y = 0, 0.17, 0.25, 0.35, 0.43, 0.50, has been analysed, mainly by EPR. Catalytic activity was tested for the reduction of NO by CO. The interaction among the oxides resulted in the formation of an La2O-CeO2 solid solution over a wide range of composition. CuO segregation over the surface also took place, thus enhancing catalytic activity.

Abstract
A series of samples of general formula (CeO2)(1-y)(La2CuO4)(y), with y = 0, 0.17, 0.25, 0.35, 0.43, 0.50, has been analysed, mainly by EPR. Catalytic activity was tested for the reduction of NO by CO. The interaction among the oxides resulted in the formation of an La2O-CeO2 solid solution over a wide range of composition. CuO segregation over the surface also took place, thus enhancing catalytic activity.Pubblicazioni consigliate
