Carbamoyl complexes of ruthenium(II), Ru(CO)2(RNH2)2Cl(CONHR), have been isolated from the reactions of [Ru(CO)3Cl2]2 with the amines RNH2 (R = But, Bun, p-MeC6H4, p-MeOC6H4). By reaction of the carbamoyl complex (R = p-MeC6H4) with triphenylphosphine and hydrochloric acid the derivatives Ru(CO)2(PPh3)2Cl(CONHR) and [Ru(CO)3(RNH2)2Cl]+Cl- have been obtained. The complex Ru(PPh3)3Cl2 did not give fully characterizable products in reactions with aromatic amines and carbon monoxide, but reacted with hydrazines and CO to give the complexes [Ru(PPh3)L(NH2NH2)Cl2]2 (L = PPh3, CO) and Ru(PPh3)2L(PhNHNH2)Cl2 (L = PhNHNH2, CO).
