In 6 Large White pigs were evaluated the changes of resistances and elastances of total respiratory system, of lung and chest wall as function of flow and volume, using the partitioning method. By this method is possible to distinguish the total resistances in flow resistance of airways (Rint) and in deltaR, espression of viscoelastic tissues property. The total respiratory resistances decrease increasing flow, while increase linearly with volume. The dynamic and static elastance is linear with volumes above o.o5 l.
