The decoy receptor D6 binds CC chemokines and targets chemokines to degradation. D6 display constitutive internalization and recycling. By the analysis of the interaction of D6 with ligands, chemokine degradation does not correlate with binding affinity while degradation efficiency correlated with adaptive upregulation. D6 is expressed by lymphatic vessels and some vascular tumors. D6 is also expressed by Kaposi’s Sarcoma (KS) lesions. D6/KS cells were studied in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract

The decoy receptor D6 binds CC chemokines and targets chemokines to degradation. D6 display constitutive internalization and recycling. By the analysis of the interaction of D6 with ligands, chemokine degradation does not correlate with binding affinity while degradation efficiency correlated with adaptive upregulation. D6 is expressed by lymphatic vessels and some vascular tumors. D6 is also expressed by Kaposi’s Sarcoma (KS) lesions. D6/KS cells were studied in vitro and in vivo.
