About the clepsydra headed pins after the excavation in the pile-dwelling of Lavagnone at Desenzano del Garda (Brescia). Pins with clepsydra head (the so called Porto di Pacengo type after Carancini 1975) from the Garda lake region and the Po plain are reconsidered on the evidence of the findings recently recovered at the site of Lavagnone (Brescia) and two specimens identified in the Mantua Museum, up till now unpublished. The general lack of closed finds prevents us from establishing a reliable chronology, but a relation (in terms of evolution) established with the pin of the Cella Dati type, which belongs to the Early Bronze II, indicates an attribution to the Middle Bronze Age.

Abstract
About the clepsydra headed pins after the excavation in the pile-dwelling of Lavagnone at Desenzano del Garda (Brescia). Pins with clepsydra head (the so called Porto di Pacengo type after Carancini 1975) from the Garda lake region and the Po plain are reconsidered on the evidence of the findings recently recovered at the site of Lavagnone (Brescia) and two specimens identified in the Mantua Museum, up till now unpublished. The general lack of closed finds prevents us from establishing a reliable chronology, but a relation (in terms of evolution) established with the pin of the Cella Dati type, which belongs to the Early Bronze II, indicates an attribution to the Middle Bronze Age.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
