Abstract
In Claudian’s panegyrics Honorius, a prodigious child because of the precocity with which he reveals the physical and moral virtues marking the "optimus princeps", is molded using the model of many boy-heroes of myth and classical poetry. Among the literary influences that delineate the figure of the young prince, the "puer" of Virgil’s Fourth Eglogue, Statius’ Parthenopaeus, as well as Achilles and the topic image of the puer senex get highlighted.Pubblicazioni consigliate
