Propene-ethene copolymers with low amount of ethene are interesting materials more elastic than PP homopolymers. High molecular masses are among the most important copolymer features required in order to fully exploit their potential applications. Propene homo- and copolymerization with a small amount of ethylene have been performed with two C1‐symmetric metallocenes activated by MAO that leads to sPP in order to evaluate of the influence of ethene on activity and especially on the factors that affect the chain transfers and the molar masses of the copolymers. All homo- and copolymers have been characterized by 13C‐NMR, 1H NMR, and GPC to determine the microstructure, chain end groups, and molar mass and molar masses distributions, respectively.

Abstract
Propene-ethene copolymers with low amount of ethene are interesting materials more elastic than PP homopolymers. High molecular masses are among the most important copolymer features required in order to fully exploit their potential applications. Propene homo- and copolymerization with a small amount of ethylene have been performed with two C1‐symmetric metallocenes activated by MAO that leads to sPP in order to evaluate of the influence of ethene on activity and especially on the factors that affect the chain transfers and the molar masses of the copolymers. All homo- and copolymers have been characterized by 13C‐NMR, 1H NMR, and GPC to determine the microstructure, chain end groups, and molar mass and molar masses distributions, respectively.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
