In this work, biodegradable polyamidoamine hydrogels to be used as tubular conduits for nerve regeneration were prepared. These materials exhibited good biodegradability and biocompatibility and the ability to induce adhesion and proliferation of Schwann cells, which play a relevant role in the regeneration of peripheral nerves. Rheological characterizations showed that their mechanical properties were suitable for in vivo testing.

Abstract
In this work, biodegradable polyamidoamine hydrogels to be used as tubular conduits for nerve regeneration were prepared. These materials exhibited good biodegradability and biocompatibility and the ability to induce adhesion and proliferation of Schwann cells, which play a relevant role in the regeneration of peripheral nerves. Rheological characterizations showed that their mechanical properties were suitable for in vivo testing.Pubblicazioni consigliate
