There are several decrees for the poleis under Athens' rule among the sources relating to the international relations that Athens, as the dominant city, developed with its allies in the 5th and 4th centuries B. C. In some of these decrees Athens grants awards and privileges to the "worthy" poleis; these can be seen as a result of Athens' imperialistic policy.
