The progress of the technical production conduced in the modern era was based on a utilitarian logic concerning the exploitation of the nature, leading the man to understand himself not anymore as part of nature, but as its dominant. The nature was, then, reduced into cartesian dimensions, under the belief of its infinite capacity of regeneration. Based on this concept and with the development of the science in general - mathematical, biological, por exemplo -, the production of technology initiates a development process which leads to times of overproduction and overconsumption. This logic only began to be questioned when, in the called ecological crisis, nature begins to show being limited. In this sense, environmental ethics proposes to critically analyze the logic in which the man perceives himself regarding nature, as well as the way in which the technologic production impacts on the environment.
