Luigi Cremona is well known as one of the principal Italian mathematicians of the second half of the 19th century and as the founder of the Italian school of Algebraic Geometry. In this paper, using his large correspondence, we trait other sides of his personality and his political and civil role (Cremona was also a member and vice-president of Italian senate). In particular, in this second part we study the evolution of Cremona''s stand towards masonry, the "Carducci case", and the political situation following the completion of Italian unity.

Abstract
Luigi Cremona is well known as one of the principal Italian mathematicians of the second half of the 19th century and as the founder of the Italian school of Algebraic Geometry. In this paper, using his large correspondence, we trait other sides of his personality and his political and civil role (Cremona was also a member and vice-president of Italian senate). In particular, in this second part we study the evolution of Cremona''s stand towards masonry, the "Carducci case", and the political situation following the completion of Italian unity.Pubblicazioni consigliate
