This volume contains the proceedings of the XI conference on Plutarch, organized by the Italian Section of the International Plutarch Society (Milan, June 18-20, 2009). The volume is arranged into four parts. The first discusses a number of issues related to Plutarch's Moralia: XV Century reception in Europe, linguistic and stylistic problems, the meaning of myths in Middle Platonism, manuscript tradition and textual criticism; the second part bears on the recent editorial project of publishing Gregorios N. Bernardakis' editio maior, which never came to see the light of day; the third part is devoted to the Lives, with a focus on narrative style, problems in translating Plutarch's Greek and issues related to the constitutio textus; the fourth part explores Plutarch's fragments.
