Valutazione di ‘Tardigold’, mutazione tardiva della nettarina ‘Stark RedGold’, su diversi portinnesti: parametri agronomici e fenologici

‘Tardigold’ (TG), a late ripening sport from ‘Stark Redgold’ (SRG) nectarine, was assesed on six different rootstocks in comparison with the original cultivar to evaluate the mutation stability and the field performance. No reversion occured and no chimera was found during the seven-year trial. TG trees, blooming two days later than SRG and ripening more than three weeks later, showed to be more vigorous in the first five-six years after planting and earlier yieldig until the fourth leaf. Only after the fifth year TG was overtaken by SRG in term of yield. Fruits of TG were sligtly smaller and ripening was more uniform within the tree canopy.
