This paper presents the evolution of Environmental Psychology, studies on the relationship between human beings, nature and environment, in according to the various theories that have developed.The prospect of a sustainable ecology research, environmental psychologist must work to combine psychological well-being, respect for the physical environment and distribution of virtuous behaviors. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the elderly and their relationship with home and environment; possible interventions should always consider the needs of older oersons on the basis of age-related changes.
