Amphiphilic block copolymers with AB type structure containing poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone) (PVP) as hydrophilic segment and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) as hydrophobic segment were prepared by combining chain transfer radical polymerization of NVP with ring opening polymerization of εCL. Fractioning in water afforded soluble and insoluble fractions with different PVP/PCL ratios. The formation of micelles by the soluble fraction was investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS), while surface properties of films prepared from the insoluble fraction were studied by static contact angle (SCA) measurements, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and surface plasmon resonance (SPR).

Abstract
Amphiphilic block copolymers with AB type structure containing poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone) (PVP) as hydrophilic segment and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) as hydrophobic segment were prepared by combining chain transfer radical polymerization of NVP with ring opening polymerization of εCL. Fractioning in water afforded soluble and insoluble fractions with different PVP/PCL ratios. The formation of micelles by the soluble fraction was investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS), while surface properties of films prepared from the insoluble fraction were studied by static contact angle (SCA) measurements, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and surface plasmon resonance (SPR).Pubblicazioni consigliate
