The purpose of this article is to introduce the methodology of Precision Teaching, which is in the phase of development in Anglo-Saxon countries but is unknown in Italy. Elaborated within the context of Behavior Analysis, it is a system designed to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of behavioral interventions focused on the acquisition of fluent behaviors. By fluency is intended the real mastery of an ability; i.e. the application of an ability correctly and at an appropriate speed. In other terms, the general aim is to promote the mastery of abilities that may be lacking, insufficient, or in need of more refinement. The innovative characteristics of Precision Teaching and its principal fields of application are pointed out, and a detailed illustration is given of the phases necessary for its implementation.

Abstract
The innovative characteristics of Precision Teaching and its principal fields of application are pointed out, and a detailed illustration is given of the phases necessary for its implementation.Pubblicazioni consigliate
