This article examines the evolution of the communities of memory that have emerged around the mass graves of the Spanish Civil War and Franco's dictatorship. It outlines a process from mourning communities, initially centered on the pain and clandestine memory, to biosocial communities, driven by the application of “technologies of justice” in exhumations such as that of Priaranza del Bierzo. This process of recovering memory through genetic identification and historical reconstruction is presented as an anthropopoietic project, a social reconstruction of the identity of the victims, achieving a political and social recognition that challenges the “pact of silence” and the “funerary apartheid” imposed by Francoism. The collaboration between relatives, activists, academics and the State, facilitated by the Law of Historical Memory and the Law of Democratic Memory, plays a pivotal role in advancing truth, justice and reparation.

Abstract
The collaboration between relatives, activists, academics and the State, facilitated by the Law of Historical Memory and the Law of Democratic Memory, plays a pivotal role in advancing truth, justice and reparation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
