Following the pioneering work of Charles J. Ermantinger and Anneliese Maier, the Florentine master Giovanni del Tasso—author of the question Utrum omne accidens sit proprium, preserved in MS Vat. lat. 6768—has traditionally been classified among the “Italian Averroists” active at the Stu- dium of Arts and Medicine of Bologna in the first half of the 14th century. This article presents new evidence that sheds light on his life and intellectual profile, suggesting that his professional activity may have taken place within a broader context than the Bolognese Studium. The discussion also addres- ses the content and formal features of the two works currently attributed to him: the question preserved in the Vatican MS and the Tractatus ad con- servandum visum et sanitatem oculorum, transmitted in MSS Florence, BNCF, Pal. 811; Metz, Médiathèque Verlaine, 277; and Paris, BN, Lat. 6910. An Appendix offers a critical edition of both texts.

Abstract
Following the pioneering work of Charles J. 6910.
