Sector IX is located on the northern slope of Sorgenti della Nova, just below the summit of the cliff, and shows evidence of habitation from both the protohistoric and medieval periods. Regarding occupation during the Late Bronze Age, investigations have revealed the presence of elliptical dwellings with foundations on channels, some caves, service areas, and accessory structures excavated in the tuffaceous bank. This study has allowed the reconstruction of the history of this portion of the settlement. Indeed, three phases of protohistoric occupation have been identified: the construction of Dwelling 4 (Phase 1), its abandonment in favour of the construction of Dwelling 5 (Phase 2), and a reorganization that affected the entire terracing (Phase 3). This transition shifted from a primarily residential function to a service function, favouring structures excavated in the rock face upstream. Therefore, the new results derived from the re-examination of the entire excavation documentation are presented, which have allowed for a detailed clarification of the structural organization of Dwellings 4 and 5, as well as the patterns of use of the terracing they sit upon. Additionally, materials from Phases 1 and 2, previously unpublished, are presented, providing insights into the construction and use of these two huts between the second half of the 11th and the first quarter of the 10th century BC.
