Le testimonianze di Arte delle Situle della necropoli patavina del CUS-Piovego (Scavi 1975-1977) : Nuove ricerche interdisciplinari

Studies regarded the Situla Art have shown how all the signs that appear in the figurations have a precise and fundamental value for the full understanding of the message given by the images. The reading of the signs is also essential for a detailed understanding of the production techniques and the tools used by the toreuts. Based on these considerations, the paper aims to illustrate the operational protocol adopted by the team of the University of Padua in the study of the evidence of the Situla Art from the necropolis of CUS-Piovego (excavations 1975-1977). It is an innovative and interdisciplinary approach that brings together traditional archaeological drawing, based on autoptic examination, and 3D survey methodologies for cultural heritage, with the aim of realising graphic reproductions in which the percentage of human error is reduced (almost) to zero.
