Dati sintetici e “corpo elettronico”: una possibile contraddizione?

The creation of synthetic data is transforming numerous sectors and refining the abilities of generative artificial intelligence to interpret the real world. The arti- cle focuses on the relevance of synthetic data and the relationship they have with the user’s «electronic body», as described by Stefano Rodotà. The analysis shows how the generation of this type of data and its purpose interferes with Rodotà’s description of the electronic body in terms of its “content” and its effects on the real person. In particular, the paper examines these two aspects to verify wheth- er his interpretation of the electronic body and the consequences it entails is re- futed or strengthened. Eventually, thanks to the conclusions reached, the arti- cle proposes a possible integration of synthetic data and the electronic body that safeguards the inviolable dignity of the human person.

La creazione dei dati sintetici sta trasformando molti settori e affinando le capa- cità dell’intelligenza artificiale generativa di interpretare il mondo reale. L’arti- colo si concentra sulla rilevanza dei dati sintetici e sulla relazione che intratten- gono con il «corpo elettronico» dell’utente, per come viene descritto da Stefa- no Rodotà. L’analisi mostra come la generazione di questa tipologia di dati e la sua finalità interferisca con il modo in cui Rodotà descrive il corpo elettronico in quanto al suo “contenuto” e ai suoi effetti sulla persona reale. Nello specifico, il contributo prende in esame questi due aspetti per verificare se la sua accezio- ne di corpo elettronico e le conseguenze che comporta sia smentita oppure raf- forzata. Infine, in base alle conclusioni raggiunte, si propone una possibile inte- grazione fra da dati sintetici e corpo elettronico che tuteli la dignità inviolabile della persona umana.
