After analysing the condition of women in the labour market and their presence in Unions, the author approaches the issue of the meaning of work from a feminist perspective. In the last part of the essay, the author discusses the limits of EU directive 2023/970 on pay transparency and the need to implement it at national level taking into consideration nationality and social status to fight pay discrimination.
