The geographical region of the western Lessini seems particularly suitable for the study of population dynamics in prehistoric and protohistoric times. Taking into account the physiographic conditions of the area, a variety of settlement forms are documented for the entire Bronze Age, which were activated by different motivations, both economic and to viability control. The wide accessibility of flint deposits of excellent quality was certainly a driving force for the settlement of the area and favoured the development of a dynamic relationship with the surrounding geographical areas. This can be seen, for example, in the study of the spatial distribution of the phases, especially of the Early Bronze Age, in the Lessini and the pile-dwelling area on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The non-permanent frequency, reflected in the high number of sporadic finds that can be assigned to a broad chronological range (Late Neolithic - Bronze Age), is an interesting fact, not so much because of the nature of the finds themselves, but as evidence of an exploration and perhaps an exploitation of the areas further inland, uninhabited but used for agro pastoral activities, such as, it is hypothesised, transhumance.

Abstract
The non-permanent frequency, reflected in the high number of sporadic finds that can be assigned to a broad chronological range (Late Neolithic - Bronze Age), is an interesting fact, not so much because of the nature of the finds themselves, but as evidence of an exploration and perhaps an exploitation of the areas further inland, uninhabited but used for agro pastoral activities, such as, it is hypothesised, transhumance.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
