Recent advances in the study of TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) have significantly improved the understanding of its role across a spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal lobar degeneration. This presentation provides an overview of the latest findings on TDP-43 pathology, focusing on mechanisms of protein misfolding, aggregation, and propagation, as well as their contribution to neuronal dysfunction and disease progression.
