Povertà e misure di sostegno al reddito nell’età anziana

This study examines policies aimed at combating poverty and providing income support for older persons. Drawing on the relevant constitutional framework, it analyses the role of the European Union, with particular attention to the principles and guidelines set forth in the European Pillar of Social Rights. The paper then explores the measures introduced by the Italian legislature in recent years, ranging from the “Citizenship Pension” to the “Inclusion Allowance”. Within this framework, the impact of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP/PNRR) is assessed in light of its implementation. Finally, the study identifies certain limitations of the measures adopted in addressing social exclusion among older people.
