L’estrattivismo tra violenza sistemica, dinamiche neocoloniali e danni ambientali. Prospettive teoriche e di ricerca-azione

The paper examines the phenomenon of extractivism from a theoreticalcritical perspective, highlighting its environmental impacts, the forms of violence associated with it, and the neocolonial dynamics of domination and exploitation, with a particular focus on Latin America. By drawing on Southern green criminology perspective, the contribution emphasizes the importance of decolonizing knowledge and promoting socio-criminological research that amplifies the epistemologies of the Global South. It advocates for a critical reflection on the need to foster participatory action research that is closely aligned with marginalized and subaltern communities, which bear the most severe consequences of extractivism and, morebroadly, of the contemporary ecological crisis.
