This introduction presents the thematic issue of J-Reading devoted to landscape, highlighting its theoretical, educational, and political relevance in contemporary societies. Landscape is framed as a transversal research field capable of integrating diverse disciplinary perspectives and responding to social demands related to quality of life, active citizenship, and territorial justice. The text illustrates the role of the AGel working group on landscape studies, which promotes interdisciplinary dialogue, international exchange, and collaboration with institutions and civil society. Particular attention is given to the relationship between research and teaching, the training of future educators, and the need for clear educational goals. The issue gathers contributions that explore landscape as an object of learning, a pedagogical tool, and a space for citizenship.
