This paper reflects on the pioneering role of Wafaa El-Saddik as director of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and on our scholarly collaboration. It describes the joint exhibitions dedicated to Victor Loret and to the history of the museum, built from the Egyptological Archives of the University of Milan and Cairo collections. The paper highlights the scientific and educational value of these temporary displays. It also underlines Wafaa’s commitment to heritage preservation and to engaging younger generations. Finally, this paper offers a personal remembrance of her enthusiasm, pragmatism, and lasting friendship.
