The article reconsiders the ‘Euboean question’, as presented in the two volumes of Euboica II, from an Etruscan viewpoint, placing Tarquinia at the centre of long-term networks linking Euboea, Pithekoussai, Cumae, Phoenicians and Tyrrhenian communities. Workshops, sanctuaries and inscriptions show Tarquinian elites not as passive recipients but as co-producers of a Mediterranean koine, providing, over time, key evidence for routes, chronologies and modalities of these contacts.

Abstract
The article reconsiders the ‘Euboean question’, as presented in the two volumes of Euboica II, from an Etruscan viewpoint, placing Tarquinia at the centre of long-term networks linking Euboea, Pithekoussai, Cumae, Phoenicians and Tyrrhenian communities. Workshops, sanctuaries and inscriptions show Tarquinian elites not as passive recipients but as co-producers of a Mediterranean koine, providing, over time, key evidence for routes, chronologies and modalities of these contacts.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
