This contribution presents the meth- odology and results of the damage assessment under- taken during the surface survey campaign at Khirbet al-Khalde in July 2023. It describes the systematic documentation of all types of modern disturbances, which was followed by an analytical study of drone photography and satellite imagery, and points out how these disturbances, particularly looting, affected the state of preservation of the site.
