Bridging Japan and Italy: JSPS Research Opportunities 2025

The University of Milan, in collaboration with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) – Strasbourg Office and the Italian JSPS Alumni Association, is pleased to present the JSPS Workshop on Research and Mobility Opportunities in Japan. This event marks the inauguration of the newly established Italian JSPS Alumni Association and celebrates its official recognition by the JSPS Headquarters. With the participation of representatives from the JSPS Strasbourg Office, the workshop will provide attendees with up-to-date information on JSPS programs, including funding schemes and mobility opportunities. The event features an interactive, multidisciplinary workshop designed for both junior and senior researchers who have a specific interest in Japan and in pursuing academic and scientific activities there. Italian JSPS Alumni/ae from diverse disciplines and career paths will present their research outcomes and share insights into the strengths of academic opportunities and collaborations with Japanese universities and research centres. The workshop aims to foster dialogue and promote stronger academic collaboration between Italy and Japan.
