«Tenero sì, ma bravo almeno» : Il carteggio Guerrini - De Amicis

The “sweet” De Amicis and the “grim” Stecchetti: two writers who have always been considered in mutual opposition. Yet their human and literary trajectories were very close, and they often ended up crossing paths. A long-lasting mutual regard characterized their relationship, as is testified by the examination of their works proposed in this contribution, on the evidence of their unpublished correspondence, which is here edited for the first time in the appendix.

Il languoroso De Amicis e il truculento Stecchetti: due scrittori da sempre considerati agli antipodi. Eppure le loro traiettorie umane e letterarie furono assai vicine, e finirono spesso con l’incrociarsi. Ci fu tra i due una duratura stima reciproca, come testimonia il vaglio delle opere proposto in questo contributo, letto alla luce del carteggio, sinora inedito e integralmente pubblicato in coda.
