In a study on Ni-catalyzed visible light-promoted C–N cross-coupling (10.1002/cctc.202200990), we found that the donor–acceptor cyanoarene photocatalyst 3DPA2FBN generated two by-products under blue light irradiation, identified by HPLC–MS as mono- and bis-cyclized products generated following the loss of one or two molecules of HF. We isolated both species as new visible light-absorbing photocatalysts, fully characterized them, developed an optimized synthetic method and performed preliminary evaluations of their reactivity.

Abstract
In a study on Ni-catalyzed visible light-promoted C–N cross-coupling (10.1002/cctc.202200990), we found that the donor–acceptor cyanoarene photocatalyst 3DPA2FBN generated two by-products under blue light irradiation, identified by HPLC–MS as mono- and bis-cyclized products generated following the loss of one or two molecules of HF. We isolated both species as new visible light-absorbing photocatalysts, fully characterized them, developed an optimized synthetic method and performed preliminary evaluations of their reactivity.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
