Abstract

The Virtual Element Methods for the linear elasticity problems are considered, in the framework of the Hellinger-Reissner variational principle. After having reviewed some 2D schemes already studied in the literature, an augmented Lagrangian formulation is introduced, with the aim at designing a method with a minimal number of local degrees of freedom. Several numerical results are presented.
