Intraoperative ultrasound (ioUS) represents one of the most relevant adjuncts in peripheral nervous system surgery. ioUS can provide the surgeon with high-resolution, real-time, multimodal imaging capable of guiding decision-making to maximize effectiveness and minimize risks. In this chapter, main ioUS submodalities are reviewed and specific applications are presented together with practical considerations.
