Continuous-flow photochemistry in fluidic devices receives a lot of attention from researchers in academia and industry as this technology provides reduced reaction times, higher chemoselectivity, straightforward scalability, and the possibility to safely use hazardous intermediates and gaseous reactants. However, despite all these proven advantages, stereoselective photochemical transformations under continuous flow conditions are still underdeveloped. In this chapter, an overview of the key-points of performing a photochemical reaction in flow is given, with a focus on the reactor design (Sections Photochemistry and Flow Chemistry and Reactor Design). Then, the most relevant and recent examples of stereoselective photochemical reactions in flow, both catalytic (homogeneous and heterogeneous, Section Stereoselective Photochemical Transformations) and with chiral auxiliaries (Section Chiral Auxiliaries), are presented and discussed. Noteworthy, the stereoselectivity of the discussed reactions in batch is maintained under continuous flow conditions.

Abstract
Noteworthy, the stereoselectivity of the discussed reactions in batch is maintained under continuous flow conditions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
