The 121 Brescia sheet (1:50,000 Geological Map of Italy) spans from the Southern Alps to the seismically active northern Po Plain. This area features faulted and folded Mesozoic–Cenozoic carbonates in the Alpine sector, and Quaternary marine, fluvial and glacial deposits in the foreland, affected by recent tectonics.
