The increasingly dynamic and varied activity of second-generation singers demonstrates how their songs, particularly in rap, thrive on the co- existence of a rich plurality of languages and cultures. Fragments of dialect, youth language expressions, and Italian appear alongside Anglo-American, the primary language of hip-hop tradition, as well as a range of immigrant languages such as Spanish, French, and Arabic, resulting in unprecedented fusions. The pluridentity expressed in these artistic creations can be repre- sented with positive outcomes in the context of the teaching of Italian as FL or L2. This paper proposes a learning path centered on listening to the songs and analyzing the texts, aimed at developing critical reflection on today's Italy and Italian language.
