My PhD project investigates discourses about urban regeneration as a linguistic, social and communicative phenomenon. The analysis will have to consider the plurality of stakeholders involved, the issues embedded in urban development (e.g., sustainability, mobility, accessibility), and the local specificity of such projects. The research will draw comparisons between discourses about UR projects in Milan and in other European cities to identify best practices in the field on an institutional level. The case study is the Milan Innovation District (MIND) which is repurposing a former international exhibition area into a hub for innovation and research in the field of life sciences as well as a place for sustainability and resident wellbeing.

Abstract
My PhD project investigates discourses about urban regeneration as a linguistic, social and communicative phenomenon. The analysis will have to consider the plurality of stakeholders involved, the issues embedded in urban development (e.g., sustainability, mobility, accessibility), and the local specificity of such projects. The research will draw comparisons between discourses about UR projects in Milan and in other European cities to identify best practices in the field on an institutional level. The case study is the Milan Innovation District (MIND) which is repurposing a former international exhibition area into a hub for innovation and research in the field of life sciences as well as a place for sustainability and resident wellbeing.Pubblicazioni consigliate
