We present here a novel measure called brain-heart crosstalks. The measure captured events of simultaneous increase of intracranial pressure (ICP) and heart rate (HR), and showed a relationship with mortality. We therefore propose in the present work an extension of the code, to allow for the implementation and insertion of the above measure into ICM+, a software for online bedside management and analysis of traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.

Abstract

We present here a novel measure called brain-heart crosstalks. The measure captured events of simultaneous increase of intracranial pressure (ICP) and heart rate (HR), and showed a relationship with mortality. We therefore propose in the present work an extension of the code, to allow for the implementation and insertion of the above measure into ICM+, a software for online bedside management and analysis of traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.
