This report explores the scientific, economic, and regulatory implications of adopting CRISPR-Cas9 in Morocco, drawing on analyses from national and international experts. It highlights opportunities for regional cooperation, particularly with Egypt, France, and Italy, and proposes a strategic roadmap for the controlled integration of this technology. The goal is to position Morocco as a key player in plant biotechnology in Africa by mobilizing its human capital, research infrastructure, and international partnerships.
