This paper deals with the enunciative and discursive relations taking place between thetweet textual part and the link preview (Twitter Card) embedded therein. Within theframework of French Discourse Analysis, our study is based on a small exploratorycorpus of tweets published in reaction to Vincent Lambert’s death that reopened theFrench debate about euthanasia. The data is extracted and analyzed through a tool tryingto implement an ecologic approach, so as to encourage contextual and analyticalvisualizations. Our contribution aims to analyze the different ways in which the tweettextual elements relate to the link preview, their pragmatic effects as well as theirdiscursive role in the tweet meaning construction.

Abstract

Cet article porte sur les relations énonciatives et discursives s’établissant entre la partietextuelle du tweet et l’aperçu du lien URL (carte Twitter) qui y est intégré. S’inscrivantdans le domaine de l’analyse du discours, notre étude s’appuie sur un corpus exploratoirede petite taille regroupant les tweets publiés en réaction à la mort de Vincent Lambert,dernière étape d’une affaire qui a relancé le débat sur la fin de vie en France. Lesdonnées sont extraites et analysées par le biais d’un logiciel cherchant à implémenterune approche écologique, de manière à favoriser des allers-retours entre la visualisationstandard du tweet et ses composantes. Notre contribution vise à analyser les différentesfaçons dont la partie textuelle se rapporte, au niveau énonciatif, à l’aperçu de l’URL, leseffets pragmatiques associés ainsi que le rôle discursif des deux éléments dans laconstruction du sens des tweets.
